What conditions do we treat?

At Gilbert Osteopaths, we believe that every person, from the tiniest newborn to the wisest adult, deserves to feel comfortable in their body. Osteopathy offers a gentle, hands-on approach to supporting the body’s natural ability to move and function well.
We work with people of all ages, including babies, children, teenagers, adults and older individuals, tailoring each session to the unique needs of the person in front of us.

Children grow and change quickly, and sometimes their bodies may appreciate a little extra support. Osteopathic care for babies and children is gentle, subtle and adapted specifically to their stage of development.
Parents often bring their little ones to us for general musculoskeletal comfort, to help ease areas of tension, or simply for a calm and soothing check-in as they grow. Our approach focuses on creating a relaxed environment where your baby or child can feel safe, supported and cared for.
We take our time, work softly, and always follow your child’s pace. Whether it’s during early milestones, school years, or periods of rapid growth, we’re here to help promote ease and wellbeing as they develop.
-
For adults, everyday life can bring its own aches, strains or stresses. Osteopathy can help with a wide range of muscle, joint and movement-related discomforts, offering gentle techniques to ease tension, improve mobility, and support your overall sense of wellbeing.
We also enjoy supporting pregnant and post-natal individuals as their bodies adapt and change. Our care is always personalised, respectful and grounded in both safety and comfort.
-
Every body is different, and so is every treatment. We take the time to listen, understand your concerns, and work with you to find the most comfortable and appropriate approach.
Our goal is simple:
to help you and your family feel more at ease, move more freely, and enjoy better everyday wellbeing. If you’d like to know more about how osteopathy may help you or your child, we’re always happy to talk.

The Mummy MOT is a specialist postnatal assessment designed to support recovery after pregnancy and childbirth. The appointment focuses on how your body is functioning and identifies any areas that may benefit from rehabilitation or support.
During the session, we assess posture, breathing, abdominal muscles and pelvic floor function. This helps identify common postnatal concerns such as abdominal separation (diastasis recti), pelvic floor weakness, back pain or symptoms of pelvic organ prolapse.
An internal pelvic floor examination is optional, but it can provide a more accurate assessment of pelvic floor strength and may be recommended if you are experiencing symptoms such as heaviness or prolapse.
Following the assessment, you will receive a personalised rehabilitation programme with exercises and advice tailored to your recovery.
Once your appointment is booked, a short health questionnaire will be sent for you to complete before the session to help guide the assessment.
Follow-up sessions can be arranged if needed depending on your goals and recovery.
